Betsy Robertson has had volleyball as a central part of her life for over 25 years. She played in both high school and college and went on to coach at SF from 2013 to 2016. Now residing in Denver, she enjoyed cheering on the Cyclones as they captured a state championship last fall.

Betsy has previously coached athletes ages 15 and up in both high school and club settings, and she is especially excited to introduce fundamentals and the competitive side of the game to younger players this year. Her favorite part of coaching is encouraging athletes and watching their confidence and skills grow.

Cassidy Rigdon is from Dunkerton and currently works at the University of Northern Iowa in the Business Operations Department. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Cassidy began playing volleyball in third grade and fell in love with the sport immediately. She has previous experience coaching club volleyball and is excited to return to the sport as the head coach of the 12U team. She looks forward to helping her players grow their skills and develop a lasting love for the game.

Aly Rourke is the Director of Iowa One, a role she has embraced since its beginning in 2021. With 16 years of coaching experience, she leads the 13U team and two 17U teams this season. She has also been officiating high school volleyball for nine years, showcasing her dedication to the sport. A passionate advocate for volleyball education, she is committed to empowering coaches and players alike. Outside of her professional life, Aly is a devoted mother to Kody and Taylor, grandma to Layla, as well as a pet owner to Milo, Lola, and Axel. She enjoys traveling and beach outings in her spare time.

Sydney is a dedicated volleyball coach and former athlete with a strong background in the sport. A graduate of Waterloo Christian School, she excelled as a libero on the varsity volleyball team throughout her high school years. With extensive experience in club volleyball, Sydney has transitioned into coaching, currently leading the junior high volleyball team at Cedar Ridge Christian school and the 14s Iowa One team. Her previous coaching roles include guiding 5th and 6th graders and previous teams with Iowa One.

Emma Jones is from Readlyn, Iowa, and has been involved in volleyball since fourth grade. She continued her volleyball career through college, playing at DMACC.

This will be her fourth year coaching with Iowa One, and she is passionate about guiding athletes as they grow both their skills and their love for the game.

With five years as a High School Varsity Coach and School Sports Program Developer, along with two years as an Athletic Director and five years as a Club Coach, Angela brings a wealth of experience to the field. She is a strong advocate for continual learning, understanding that both successes and failures are vital to growth. This season, Angela looks forward to seeing her team achieve new milestones and develop their skills.

Regan Pries will be assisting with the 11U team this season, marking her first year of coaching. She is excited to get started and looks forward to meeting and working with the players.

Regan has been playing volleyball since fifth grade and is currently a sophomore at Waverly-Shell Rock. This will be her fourth season with Iowa One, and she will also be competing as a player on the 16U team.

Rylee Schwarze is a recent Tripoli High School graduate currently studying nursing at Hawkeye Community College. Having played volleyball since the 4th grade, she is enthusiastic about guiding young athletes in their journey, aiming to enhance their skills and personal growth. ​This is her second year as a coach with Iowa One, having previously assisted with a 16U team.

Originally from Tripoli, Lauren Block and her husband, Lake now call Cedar Falls home, where she practices as a chiropractor. With a volleyball career that began in the 4th grade, she has achieved significant milestones, including being part of two state qualifying teams and seven years in club volleyball. Lauren is excited to start her second year with Iowa One as the assistant for the 13U Aly team, looking forward to mentoring young athletes and enhancing their skills while instilling a deep appreciation for the game.​

Nicole Waters attends the University of Northern Iowa, pursuing a Master's Degree in Communication and Media. With a lifelong passion for volleyball, she achieved the remarkable feat of qualifying for state volleyball three consecutive years during her high school career. This marks her third year coaching with Iowa One as the assistant for the 14s. Nicole enjoys working with young athletes and is committed to developing their skills throughout the season.

Natalie Miller recently graduated from Don Bosco and now attends the University of Northern Iowa, where is majoring in early childhood education with a minor in coaching.

Natalie has been playing volleyball since fifth grade and has six years of club experience. This season will mark her first year of coaching as the assistant coach for the 15U team, and she is excited to begin this new chapter and gain valuable experience throughout the season.

Grace Phillips returns as the assistant coach for the 16U team. A former Iowa One athlete throughout her high school career, Grace is passionate about giving back to the program that shaped her love for the game. She looks forward to helping her players grow both on and off the court while building meaningful connections with them. Outside of volleyball, Grace works in the dental field.

Avery Jones recently graduated from Wapsie Valley High School and has had a passion for volleyball since she began playing in fourth grade. Over the years, the sport has played a significant role in her life and athletic development.

This season will mark Avery’s first year of coaching, and she is excited to begin sharing her knowledge of the game with younger athletes. She looks forward to helping players build strong fundamentals, gain confidence, and continue growing both their skills and love for volleyball.

Brenna Volker is from Sumner, Iowa, and is currently a freshman at Hawkeye Community College, where she is pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.

This season marks Brenna’s third year coaching with Iowa One, following six years as a player within the program. In addition to coaching, she gained valuable experience officiating volleyball during the fall, which expanded her understanding of the game. She is excited to work with an older group of athletes this year and looks forward to helping them continue to develop their skills, teamwork, and passion for volleyball.

Kelsey Dammeier has played volleyball for seven years and currently competes on the University of Northern Iowa Club Volleyball team. Throughout high school, she coached at numerous volleyball camps and has also held formal coaching roles in other sports, including tennis.  This will be her first season coaching with Iowa One.

She is excited to support athletes as they grow and improve and looks forward to being part of their journey and developing their love for the game.
